Hey, my name is Helen, though on here I am most commonly known as Henna. I'm 24 years old as of April 12th, and I've been a member of the dA community for about 8 years (the first two years took place on another account). On here, I'm most well-known for my artwork, which consists of illustrations of my own stories as well as fan art for my favorite books.
For those who aren't familiar, much of my art centers around the original characters from my novel, Vergessenheit, a magical realism exploration of Nazi Germany. You can read the most recently updated draft on my wattpad, or if you don't have an account on there, you can always download the PDF of it here (which I try to keep as up-to-date as possible).
Unfortunately, the recent intensification of my ADD as well as the craziness of college life makes it difficult for me to update regularly--it's also made it nearly impossible to carry on writing more than one major project at a time. Plus, DA has been pretty dead for the last year or two, so it's no longer my primary means of staying in touch with my watchers / followers. Therefore, it may take me awhile to respond to any messages you send me here, since I don't check my notifications as much as I used to. --However, I do try my best to respond to most comments and questions, though nowadays I generally limit that to my 'original' works and recent pieces. With that being said, though, if you want to keep up to date with me and see writing, sketches and other work unpublished on here, feel free to follow me on my tumblr: I'm on there almost everyday, and while it's mostly shitposting and other goofy things of that nature (it IS a personal blog, after all), you can just click on my art tag or writing tag to sift through my creative stuff. I'm also more likely to get back to you quickly there, whether you have any questions or just want to say hi.
Also, it's worth mentioning that I have an 8tracks account as well, where I frequently upload playlists (most of which revolve around Vergessenheit). If you're interested in discovering new songs, listening to instrumental mixes and finding out what kind of music inspires my work, go check it out!
your art is fantastic, but i am commenting to inform you that my english teacher showed some of the lord of the flies fanart you made in 2011 on the powerpoint for this lesson and i thought it was fnaf fanart for a second and i nearly fell off my chair
This could be really random but i needed to say, i decided to watch "never let me go" after seeing it alongisde 2 movies i've watched and liked before in your favourites list. It's a beautiful movie i may have never crossed upon otherwise. So sending hugs for it
